Now time is running out! And in this context, that really is a good thing! Watch out for the Blackbox! Brand spanking new music video, right around the corner, starring Viktoria Aksnes and directed by Benjamin Langeland, Flimmer Film.

So, where should we play in 2018 you think?

(Please speak up, if a particular place gets enough requests, we will try to make it happen)

Tag the venues/festivals, so they get to know about your request, too!

Nice review in Klassekampen together with our fellow bergensians in Misty Coast, Electric Eye and Strange Hellos! A very special thanks goes out to Linn Fr√łkedal from Misty Coast for taking the time and lending us her amazing voice which you can hear all over Blackbox!

We apologize for the excessive amount of reviews, but this 5/5 was too good to go by unnoticed and deserves a good, long quote:

"The sheer amount of spellbinding textures, melodies, and all-around compositional shifts here is breathtaking and inspiring, as it demonstrates something more than just a band at the top of its game: an enthusiastic, boundless, and challenging breath of fresh air for an entire subsection of music. As such, Blackbox is a masterpiece and one of the best progressive metal albums of 2017."

Thank you Jordan Blum for! ūüĒ•ūüĒ•ūüĒ•

New single: Madeleine Crumbles

Today we bring you the most exalted of news: The first single from our fourth studio album has finally been released. Madeleine Crumbles¬†is a five minute exploration of symphonic pop melancholia, touching¬†some musical realms we haven’t really ventured into¬†before. That’s where we’re always most comfortable – somewhere we’ve haven’t¬†been before. You can find the song on Spotify or any kind of service you may find preferrable. The song features Linn Fr√łkedal (The Megaphonic Thrift) on guest vocals, plus a host of other guest musicians, and has been mixed by Yngve S√¶tre. Lyrics here.

Gig alert: Trondheim, Bergen, Oslo!

We’ll be heading back on the road for a few shows, to showcase the new ensemble and glimpses of our new material. Hope you’ll find your way to one of them.

Gig alert: Hulen, Bergen – April 30th!

You asked for it, you got it. We’re proud to announce the first gig with our new line-up.

As well as being the maiden journey¬†for four new faces, you can get a first¬†taste¬†of the much-awaited follow-up to Twilight Cinema. We’re extremely excited to get back on stage again.

Link to event and tickets here.

Lyrics, lyrics, lyrics!

Some of you may have noticed that this website has gotten a bit of a new look lately.

It is very much a work in progress, and the makeover is nowhere near complete. But do note that we’ve finally gotten around to publishing all the official Major Parkinson lyrics.

A lot of you have been asking us about releasing these things, and while we’ve been amused by all the wrong lyrics that have been put out on the internet over the years, we kind of figured we had to set the record straight. We know it’s kind of hard to decipher what we’re saying at times.

So, go on, enjoy yourself, now there’s no excuse for singing the wrong lyrics.
